Corio Bay provides the perfect venue for sailing and boating. Since Geelong's founding more than 160 years ago, the bay's waters have attracted people seeking recreation and fun. The beautiful waters of Corio Bay offers excellent sailing, spectacular views and fresh summer breezes. Skandia Geelong Week offers a quality fleet, short courses - and an endless choice of post racing activities to ensure you enjoy your stay in one of the world’s most lively cities.
The Royal Geelong Yacht Club held Victoria’s first regatta back on Corio Bay back in 1844. Although historical records suggest it was a ‘modest affair’ - it was instantly established as an annual event on the calendar. In 2004 thanks to Skandia the regatta was taken to a new level of success. Now with a new title sponsor, a new name and fresh thinking – Skandia Geelong Week - is set to become one of the world’s premier sailing events.
This world-class regatta is a must! Sensational racing, an action packed social program and an atmosphere that will blow you away!
